29JUNE2026 IWC Board

Yeah that's what I figured just making fun. I wake up at 0315 so usually by like 0700-0800 i gotta remind myself most people haven't really started their day lol
That’s the most AD thing I have hear in a while. I haven’t had to be up at 0315 for anything in a year or two 🤣🤣😂

It's funny cause I'll hear about getting up at 0400 and 0430 at OCS and I'm like "cool I can sleep in" lol even though we'll probably be up late too. One OHARP ENS told me while taking me to a medical appt said they averaged 4 hours of sleep in phase 1 of OCS

That's wild haha, but I bet it's from studying or uniform prep etc. Hopefully we can experience that and understand what people are explaining, waiting 52 days just to be told "eeehhhhh try again in a year" is insane. Chief results are quicker and that's the whole navy..... like what is going on lol

Yeah based on other things I've heard and seen, you're probably right. I've studied bravo knowledge on and off since it's all brand new to me.

But dude yeah. I know hurry up and wait will be the norm. But this limbo I feel is different. Idk some of y'all are already AD so you'd know better

Averaging four hours a night is crazy and not needed. The only night I got four hours of sleep was before RLP. Most nights are like six hours. They are required to give 7 hours of uninterrupted rest time, doors can be closed at 21:00 and lights need to be out by 22:00, so if you and your roommate shower quick you can squeeze an extra 45 min of sleep in. A lot of people don’t utilize their time efficiently the first few weeks, and end up staying up late to make up for it. OCS is a team sport, so if your deck all works together on cleaning, uniform prep, and folding stuff, it goes a lot quicker. Boils down to helping your shipmates equals more sleep and an easier time for everyone

I graduated Dec. 2025. This information is valid, 6hrs is pretty average up until the last 3 weeks and then things start to look up a bit but not by much lol. Depending on your billet that is. 100% team sport for RLP and pretty much all inspections beyond (but primarily RLP). As they say, the most fun you never want to have again.

Yea it’s cooked just finished expedition 33 so now I have nothing to distract me whatsoever in the evening. Tips and tricks appreciated fellow waiters
