WTF, O. I did not know that would be reason for the police to come to your house. And I have to wonder under why the guns were taken to the sheriffs office and not inspected on site. The moral of the story.....be a good nazi like neighbor and turn in the guy next to you.

Thank goodness my neighbors are too far away to give a $hit what I do.

Apparently the folks in this neighborhood don't know a lot about guns either. ' ..those guns have really long barrels...some of the had what looked like large magazines (sic) like on an automatic weapon.' '...couldn't be used for hunting.'

BTW, that was a nice looking street sweeper.

Did the guy give them up without a warrant? To me, this seems like a perfect reason to be in the NRA. Call them, and get their legal department behind you.

I see a very large and angry lawsuit in the future for that Citys legal department.

The right to bear arms as long as you don't do it a lot and the guns aren't "scary." Gotta love that.

What a bunch of ignorance....there was no reason to do what they did.

I just wanted to hit that smug news guy.

I would love to see the basis used to establish PC, assuming a warrant was issued. That city does need a hefty monetary judgment against it to teach it (and others) a lesson.

I wonder if the "news" will give the same amount of attention to this story if it is discovered that each weapon is perfectly legitimate. I won't hold my breath.

Feddoc: Please keep an eye on this for us (me).

Why do the media insist on quoting people who are abjectly ignorant of the subject in their news reports? They do this with airplane crashes too, as if Joe Bubba would have anything useful to contribute when some private pilot had to do a forced landing somewhere.

You might as well have asked me for an educated commentary after I got my eyes zapped. "Umm, yeah, they put me under a laser and there was a flashing light and this tapping sound." Really? Ya think??

"No one has been charged in connecion with the crime?" WTF!!!!???? What crime? How can the cops themselves say things like, "At this time we don't know if any of them are illegal?" Seriously.

Guilty until proven innocent. Gotta love it. In all fairness, though, the guy is probably hedging his bets. It would suck for him to say, no, they're all fine and dandy, and then it turns out the guy's got an unregistered Tommy gun in there somewhere.

Still, what a bunch of sensational crap journalism. No proof that a crime has been committed, but we're going to humiliate a more than likely law-abiding citizen because we've never held a gun and are afraid of people having them. After all, who "needs" more than a few guns anyway? You must be psycho to have a morbid fascination with weapons. Especially those you can't hunt with. No normal person "needs" an arsenal like that.

Sheesh.
