05Jan2026 SWO Board

what is my chances for future boards 3.40 business 26 yo male havent taken oar but i feel like i would hit between 45-55 with proper study

I got a lot of my information about SWO from this document, which was recently updated in June 2025; the higher the OAR, the better! Good Luck!
As long as the OAR isn't one that requires a waiver you should be good. When things get more competitive it is the GPA that will help or hurt.

I saw on a spreadsheet from this past september board that someone got a 39 OAR and a 3.00 overall GPA and got accepted for the January Class

How were you a non-select??? These stats are beyond amazing, you’re for sure gonna stand out on this board good luck man looking forward to hear your results!

Didn't realize how competitive it can really get with that selection board, but makes sense too, it is one of the most sought out communities
I have found it is a combination of things. IWC has a higher age limit, the duty stations which often aren't on ships, and also a misconception of what the jobs actually do. I would talk to many applicants who wanted to go Intel thinking they would be in the field interrogating people, not in an office making PowerPoint presentations.
