01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

Make sure to double check your GPA calculations. The guy doing my math took my 3.4 and argued my Navy GPA was a 2.5. Made him walk me through it and turns out it was a miscalculation because he interpreted my transcript incorrectly. Keep in mind how pass/no pass satisfactory/unsatisfactory units play into your math as well.

What is a Navy GPA? Am I missing something?
navy counts all courses you've ever taken. For example, my transcript for my bachelor's degree says I graduated with a 3.23 but the navy calculated me at a 3.20 because I took 2 community college classes.

There’s a manual cumulative recalculation of your GPA which includes every class, not just your alma mater. They also weigh P/NP differently than some institutions.
Ohhh ok that makes sense. I only had the classes I took in undergrad

I was 2.97 gpa as well after the navy calculated my 3.2 the navy way lmao just take one three unit community college class for free and go ISEL if you qualify otherwise

Edit: Although the transcript won’t be in time for the November board though lol just apply regularly for November board anyways and also take the class if you can so you can have ISEL as a guaranteed backup in the future
That's exactly what happened to me. Graduated with a 3.2

Same here. I transferred schools twice, my freshman year was during covid and I literally finished with like a 1.6 gpa lol. After that, I transferred to community college and got a 2.89, then my bachelor’s with a 3.13. That freshman year skews my "navy gpa" so bad.

Yeah covid was my downfall academically.
