Random Griz Aviation Musings

This A36 Bonanza was previously owned by CAPT Neil Armstrong, USN (RET). The current owner is a friend and only flies with a small cadre of CFIs since losing his medical at 80. Beautiful airplane and well equipped. Basically a T-34 with Continental IO-520. 170 Knots at 15 GPH. (KTAS)

My first guess was last flight forever

As a JO, that's what I understood it to mean and what I heard others refer to it as. But then again, the majority of us all had the same basic mindset of, "I'm never coming back to this community," so maybe that had something to do with it.

P-8 beating up the pattern here this morning! 23L, with a right crosswind. Looks to be hand flown patterns on 1500' AGL downwind with final inside the FAF.

How much handflying do P-8 folks do I wonder. This was cool to watch. Looks like this plane is headed to Buckey MOA after some pattern work. Low level?
