I have a question, but first, my background.

I spent 2004-2008 enlisted in the US Navy, and have since then been in the Air National Guard. I want to go back into the Navy and I want to become an officer. I also turn 29 in a few weeks.

My question is, I am told by a recruiter that with my Environmental Studies degree I am pretty much only eligable for Surface Warfare Officer, which I am fine with. But I need more information and i hope that some of you can help. What are the chances of me getting into OCS and SWO school at age 30? When do I apply for it, how soon can I get the ball rolling... and what am I to expect?

Thank you so much.

Read through the 1420.1B, chapter 4 regarding OCS. The age limits are listed in there, and I believe for SWO its 32 at time of commissioning.

Check out this website for possible programs. http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/noru/orojt3/generalofficer.htm I can think of other possible programs for you. Also depending on what you did in the Navy and National Guard there might be other possibilities.
