Sorry if this is a repost, but I heard today that because of low O-3 numbers the Marine Corps is accelerating the promotion schedule to start promoting to Capt. after only 24 months. The friend who told me this asked if the Navy was doing something similar but I didn't have an intelligent response. Has anyone heard anything about this or similar programs for unrestricted line folks?
