AD Officer Interview Appraisal Question

Hello all,

Quick question on the officer appraisal interviews. I am an AD sailor putting an OCS package in. I'm trying to find out if the officer interviews can only be done by current AD Navy officers or can they be also completed by other branch officers? ie. Air Force.

Any branch of service can do the interview, as long as if they are commissioned officers. I had 4 interviews for my package, 3 Navy Supply Corps Captains and an Army Brigadier General (O-7).

If I were you, I would make sure the majority of my interviews were Navy. Don't submit 3 interviews with 2 AF and 1 Navy... don't know how that will go over with the board.

Also, your interviewing officer doesn't have to be active duty. One of the Captains I interviewed with was a reservist, and she conducted the interview in her civilian clothes.
