Advisory Board Formed to Assess Future of AW Rate

Remember, as bad as things are in the Pilot/NFO community right now, the Navy has been fucking over the AW ranks for a while now. Looks like this is the newest post-crisis reaction to a self-induced problem.

Most of us thought the force conversion was dumb, especially for the fixed wing guys. It virtually killed HSC maintenance departments for the first couple of years afterward in the helo communities, although I understand what potential they saw in doing it. I hope those guys can convert over to a maintenance rating rather than getting kicked out.
