Hi. I must first say how impressed I am with the depth of knowledge available in these forums. I realize there is a similar post just below mine, but I didn't get a response to my response to that topic. I am wondering if it would be possible for someone who is 29 to obtain a Ground contract, and then compete for an Air contract at TBS if they become available. I realize there might not be any slots, but I also figure that it would be difficult at best to get an Air guarantee before going at this age. I have passed a flight physical in the past, but couldn't attend OCS at that time. I miss the preparation for OCS and am trying to get back in the program. Any info to my long and dull post would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all of you!

RumorBuster,

I was told the same by my local OSO.

Does that apply to prior enlisted guys also? If so, I feel like i'm getting punished for enlisting 1st. :(

Enlisting is a reward and fun times. It is a tool to help your Marines in the future should you get a commission. It was a blast and a valuable growth time unless you were a weekend warrior.

What if you were sent home due to an injury and told to come back once fixed. I am 28. THanks
