Age Waivers for Pilot/NFO

There's been a growing and an alarming trend amongst non-prior/non-active duty applicants that an age waiver can be granted, especially if you have the right pull (say you know a Congressman or Admiral). This is not the case and in the Program Authorization, states that an age waiver may only be granted for prior service, year for year.

Any punk kid who tries to pull a "I know congressman such and such," stunt should be firmly slapped across the face, then shown the door (or assigned immediately to my squadron for remedial training).
