Air Force enlisted BMT vs Navy OCS??

I was trying to youtube OCS videos and it looks pretty intense. I know Air Force OTS looked like a joke by the way. But I have to say I'm prior enlisted Air Force and my time at BMT pretty much looked like the OCS videos I've managed to see on youtube, which amazes me because all the AF OTS guys seem to be smiling in OTS looking like they're on vacation.

Any prior enlsited Air Force to OCS? Care to share some information?

Not going to lie, having been out of the Air Force for 5 years, I've always felt I'd never have to repeat anything like bmt again nor would I want too.. uhg..

I think it's different for those of you going at it for the first time. Having never gone through it, it is all completely new to you and you wanna give it your best and nothing less but to see graduation. Having already gone through it I completely dread even the thought of it. Anyone else share similar experience....?

I will put money on it that Air Force BMT is nothing like Navy OCS. If you are talking about DI's yelling at you and doing PT then Navy boot camp looks like OCS. I would say Youtube would be a poor example of what any militaries entrance training is truly like. I wouldn't put it past the Air Force OTS to be more intense than the Youtube makes it out to be.

Well reading what the schedule is like throughout the day on here.. And seeing someone's cellphone video on youtube.. It doesn't look too far off besides a different curriculum in leadership classes I'm sure.

I went through AF BMT in early 2002. There are many similarities between the two but overall Navy OCS was harder physically and there was a lot more memorization involved. AF BMT is a good "stepping stone" and will probably help you out a little but it's a whole new ball game with Marine Drill Instructors.
