I just wanted a quick confirmation on something. I'm BDCP and after graduation plan on bringing my wife and baby son to Pensacola while I'm in OCS (I know, I know...highly impractical, etc.). The question is this, though: while I know that the Navy won't pay for that move, will they pay to move any stuff that we might leave behind in storage after I'm commissioned? Any insight would be appreciated.

Is HOR the very permanent address that you give them? That is, the one that they'll ship you back to when you finish? If so, then that's my parent's address. My university is in another state altogether. Hmm...Sound like I'll probably have to go a coupla rounds with the red tape, at any rate. Thanks for the heads-up, though. I'll start looking for apartments now.

I brought mine down w/ me in OCS and was GLAD I DID! I think you will be glad too. I'm prior E and my orders allowed me non-temp storage of household goods and allowed 400 lbs (a TAD shipment) to be moved to Pcola. After graduation they shipped all my stuff from PAX River. BUT, again I came right from the fleet, so it could be different for you.
