I just got down here for API and was wondering if there were any real places to dance around here > NO, Seville doesn't count! I'm looking for a latin club...anybody know where I can them?
 
From a native: No.

Welcome to LA...Lower Alabama. Is it Florida - yes. Is it Miami - no.
 
I'm going to raise the BS flag there.

Lets face it, it isn't florida until you cross the bridge to Gulf Breeze.

Well, sometimes if you go around campgrounds in the evening (10-12 or so) you can find some drunk rednecks that are dancing around the campfire. I don't think they'll be doing the Macarena though.
 
Well darn, that's disappointing. What's the closest area near by where I might find someplace. Other than going to miami of course.
 
I don't know if it's still there, post Ivan, but there's a place called Margarita's on the boardwalk on P'cola beach. On saturday night's they clear the dining area and it becomes a little latin club.

Also, there's a place in the Cordova mall parking lot called Coyote's. It's the same deal as Margarita's and also on saturday night.

New Orleans is only three-four hours drive.
