The report did not identify any of the Air Canada crew by name. Nor did it specify the psychiatric diagnosis for the co-pilot, who was hospitalized for 11 days in Irish mental wards before being flown by air ambulance back to Canada.
Every helo pilot's dream...The Air Canada pilot then asked flight attendants to find out if any passenger was a qualified pilot.
Nah, just kidding. I thought the report of the story I saw was hilarious when the reporter said the FA landed the plane. I immediately waved the BS flag.
AThe Captain flew and talked on the radio but had the FA read checklists at his direction.

A few years ago we had an FO that was quickly stricken with food poisoning and was going in and out of consciousness. The FA's took him to the back to receive medical treatment from a doctor while one of the FA's sat in the right seat during the divert. The Captain flew and talked on the radio but had the FA read checklists at his direction.
Anyone know where I can get a "license for reading cockpit instruments"?
