Seems for real, look at all the bids for the thing. Just think do all those people that bid on the ship have a 100 million just laying around?
 
dude.. it takes 4000 tons of fuel just to make it across the pond... thats a lot of $1.749 disel screw buying the thing.. who has the $$ to just freely operate such a ship cough(al-quida)cough. How convient that its overseas.. and can be sold to anyone.. so instead of flying planes in.. why not just let um steamroll the eastern seaboard over, and then launch some japanese "zero's" at us... ah what will they think of next.. how would you like to be ebay and get 3% of that action?
 
I think I'll hold out for the F/A-18 sale...
(I missed the MiG-23 sale at the end of the cold war... rumor is they were going for $100,000 each... not that I had that laying around...)
 
Dang it! If only I had seen this BEFORE Christmas. I would have made a couple of changes on my wish list. Oh well. There's always next year.
 
Forget the Navy and USMC. To all my fellow wannabes I say we pool our money and buy the damn thing. We will become Naval aviators one way or another! sk
 
100,000 is a house. you can get a loan for that much :) as for 90 million, i dont think the bank would let me do that :) maybe with an 89.9 million down payment...
