Apartments near Whiting?

Well, I know this has been talked about a lot on this site, but I needed to ask. I already did a thorough search about apartments near Whiting, and came up with diddly crap. I even searched online and couldn't find much. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good places (and I mean pretty nice, nothing nasty) to live around Whiting. I'm looking at probably living by myself, maybe with one other guy. An apartment would be great if I live by myself, but if with someone else, than a house would be great too. Any help would be much appreciated.

Actually, down there....I just finished up IFS in the lovely Viriginia area, will have about a week for travel, proceed, etc., and will be down in P'cola in about a week from tomorrow.

If your looking for a decent apartment near Whiting then I recommend Collins Mill Creek Apartments. Its $645 a month for 2 bed/2 bath. Its the newest and nicest place in Milton. Berry Pines does have some 1 bedrooms though, but its not as new or as nice. Both places are about 10 minutes from NAS Whiting. The Ashborough was also not too bad.
Everything else decent is down in Pensacola. Ie Kings Mill, Governors Gate (Which is the newest and very nice also). Though you will be driving 20-30 minutes to get to NAS P'cola and 30-40 to NAS Whiting.

I'm looking at Collins Mill Creek as well. I'm not going to get down there until around the 14th. For those of you at Collins Mill Creek, how was the drive down to API?

I'm a BOQ rat myself, but did some househunting up here before I moved in. I'd second Berry Pines as being a nice place to stay; I almost rented there myself. One of the reasons I didn't pick it is they don't give you a washer and dryer, just the hookup, and I didn't feel like having to hassle w/ buying those on the side. If I end up staying here for helos I'd seriously consider moving there though. Just my $.02.
