Actually...not to rain on the totally-not-neccesary gouge parade...but...

I have used serveral of my API books throughout the pipeline. I'd hang onto them.

email me at lonestar1025@yahoo.com if you want them. And if you are still "referring to your api books through the pipeline" then you are WAY behind the power curve. Good luck.

First off, wow... hadn't seen a stud blow off somebody with wings in a while (Even if you are AF). Second, if you need to "get ahead" with studying for API ahead of time then your not on the leading end of the bell-curve. Props for wanting to spead the gouge +1 if your not gonna use it. I haven't used mine, except maybe a quick glance in the regulations book.

Wow... very thin skin here. Relax gents. For the record, I am winged thank you since 03. It was a joke, if you are still refering to your API books in primary or advanced for that matter to find out how a jet engine works then that would just be silly. Plenty of "Current" pubs out there to keep you busy with out thumbing through your old API books. Just trying to help some guys out. That being said, they are still up for grabs.

The books are gone. It is amazing what prospective SNA's will pay for used stuff! $1000.00 for some old API books! WOW! (THAT IS A JOKE TOO) He paid shipping. Good luck to you guys and hope you guys rock the program!

As far as studying ahead of time you really shouldn't waste your time. You get plenty of time to learn all that stuff. As far as never needing them ive referenced mine a couple times. There are plenty of places to find that info online im sure. The catch here is that at 2330 when you have a 0530 brief the next morning and you want the "trivial" piece of knowledge that is sharp in your mind now but may not be then, you'll be wishing you kept it. I know skywardbound is "ABOVE ALL" but for us short term memory navy and marine types I recommend keeping em. Lastly, winged since 03 means those API books for gouge purposes are all but useless, they changed the pubs every other week while i was in API. Save your money.....go drink beer.
