API wait time?

Any A-Poolers out there have any gouge on what the API wait time is currently for a Navy SNA IFS complete? I know that the situation can sometimes be very complex, and people are arriving in masses the next couple of months, but I'm just curious what people there have heard. I'm waivering on whether or not to bring all of my crap with me in a Uhaul or just keep it in storage and deal with the Navy movers. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've been in A-Pool for about a month, and I'm set to class-up a week from tomorrow. That said, with the number of people that just checked in the last week or two, I imagine the wait will be getting longer in the coming weeks.

They told me two weeks to class up, max, in April, and that was when it was supposed to be the natural low of the system. Right now I'm in the first week of API. So you get the idea, things change. But be prepared to wait awhile as a lot of the ROTC and Academy grads have been checking in pretty steadily the last few weeks. Definately enjoy the time off, its a great time!

As far as moving your stuff, if you can make money of the DITY move go that route.

I would say right now the wait is about 2 months min. for SNA, factoring in BOLTC and NOMI. There are TONS of new grads here, it is crazy, so the wait is going to be longer, but atleast you are a SNA, you dont have to sit around and do nothing for months on end...oh wait a minute, nevermind, have fun in class.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
Hourocket, you are lucky that you left the unit when you did. They have us doing so much work its ridiculous.... Hope you are enjoying P-cola and the lifetime of waiting. At the rate its going for you guys, I sadly might class up before you.

Yeah, I'm coming into the A-pool from grad school and they told us that we'd be through fast since we're a year behind already. It looks like at least another three weeks till we can class up, but who knows. For the guys coming straight from college, it's looking like a lot longer. Hope that helps, enjoy your time off!

When I showed up, they told the ones with IFS complete would class up in 2 weeks (being very serious). Well, I'm in week 5 with no end in sight. So, don't believe a word they say.

I saw the list that classed up last friday and the wait was:

SNA: 10 weeks
SNFO: 36 weeks

Update:

I start API next friday! WOOT WOOT!! (going to whiting)

I looked at the list again and:

SNA: is decreasing to 5-8 weeks (dont expect it to go down much more, a sh!tload of guys are checking in now every month)
SNFO: 36-38 and one guy at 52!

My wait was 6 weeks. The guys who don't have IFS done are waiting a lot longer. Most havn't even started IFS yet.

Dont you just love how they manage all this stuff? I was told i would have a huge wait when i went to API and then i showed up and they were thinking about waiving BOLTC for us so we could class up sooner. My advice: find out who's been waiting ahead of you and slowly start making accidents happen....not too quickly because you dont want people to catch on to whats happening. Best of luck, API is sorta fun...check out the video thats going arond on myspace..makes it look even awesome.
