I am writing to because I recently broke 9 of my ribs while unloading a lifted truck. I have been hospitalized and I am about to do surgery where they will have to put metal plates in to repair the bones? I have been searching the internet and I cannot find a solid answer to if I have metal plates in my ribs are those automatic /permanent disqualification for applicants applying for Naval Aviator via OCS? If I can perform the standards once fully recovered would they grant me a waiver or once the bones are fully healed can’t they doctors remove the metal plates so it doesn’t hinder my application process? Please any help would be useful, I have been working for this my whole life and I would hate to have it ruined because of an accident.

Dude... the mods literally told you stop creating posts and use the search function. https://www.airwarriors.com/communi...-becoming-a-naval-aviator-after-injury.50949/

And what do you do? Create the same post.

You might get yourself a ban soon.
