Just a bit of advice, the Barron and Arco study guides really focus on the math and mech comp, both of those sections were FAR easier than the study guide, the one to watch for was the Aviation Supplemental I think I have like 4 questions in regards to FAA classifications of aircraft, I'm even involved in Naval aviation and had no clue, so study up on the aviation stuff, fooled me and I've been working as an AE for 3 years now.

As you will read in this section of the forum. The study guides that you refer to are in no way supported by the creators of the ASTB/AFOQT/AFAST. It is something big that has formed out of nothing at all. People have taken the test in the past and failed it. They were told to study, but felt material lacking to study. So together with the LONG list of references shown in the ARCO and such "aviation" material has been compiled together to give us a false sense of preparedness for the exam. My point is that people shouldn't pay a cent for the ASTB prep. There is information on this forum that will direct you to free study material to give you an average readiness for the exam. That is, when you sit down and open up that pink, orange, or brown book, you don't crap yourself because you had no idea what the exam was going to be about. Save your money!

Yeah, on hindsight I really don't think the arco book was worth 25 bucks. If you really need to look at it, go through it in the bookstore.

There are plenty of better info sources on this site.

Well I got my official scores and by using the ARCO alone I scored a 6/6/6 56. Not that competitive at all. Oh well.
