I take the ASTB in 4 days. I'm studying a lot, but i'm sure I'm missing something! Any tips would be great on what to study (so far arco books, and one test prep) and testing tips or strategies. Thanks

Getting Closer and Closer by the minute
Hey man whats up. I am the guy that you emailed, I gave you as much info as I could and I hope it helped. You will have to let me know how you do. When are you looking at submitting your complete package? I am looking at July as I graduate in december. Are you trying for OCS sometime on or after Jan 2006? It would be awesome to go to OCS with someone from here. What are you applying for? Pilot, NFO, SWO, Supply, intel?

Well, tomorrow is the big day. You guys/girls, give me some positive thoughts tonight and tomorrow. I'll let you know how I do.

i am here to tell you that it is not that bad. I took it and only studied the ARCO book for a few days. If you have some Calc experience, math is a breeze. Good luck.

Well, I'm finished with the test. It wasn't that bad, but parts were tricky! I wasn't expecting that much physics. If anyone has any questions, I'll check here regularly while the concepts of the test are fresh.

first off, I would study more physics. You need to know about torque and mechanical advantage and all of that stuff, but I would focus more on the principles of physics. Newtons 3 laws, weight displacement, and the concepts of force. As with the math, I think I was well prepared. Suprisingly, Arco is good for math, but you have to know why you set things up the way you do, because the wording will be different. Know how to set things up with letters and no numbers, there were a few of those on my test. Pretty straight forward stuff. Also, for the time crunch, don't overanilize the problems. On a few I started writting stuff down and computing before I finished reading only to realize the problem was simple...time is precious.
