Hey guys, I got a question! I tried searching around but couldn't find a definitive answer.

I am currently studying for the ASTB, on my third attempt, where my latest one was 7/6/7 with an OAR of 59. I want to score as high as possible and get selected for Navy pilot. My biggest weakness is the PFAR, where I think the joystick and throttle section killed me.

I know there is the Jantez and Mike simulator, but is that compatible with the Logitech X52 throttle and joystick? I saw that there was a throttle for emergency procedure, but I was wondering if I order the joystick, could I use that as well? I'm unsure on what to do, and this is my last attempt. I know people say this simulator is very helpful, but did they just use the default mouse? Also, would these work on a computer that is running windows as parallel on a mac desktop, or could I just use it on the mac directly?

Welcome to the forum. First and foremost, check out the ASTB forum, there's a FAQ section that very likely answers the joystick question:

Further questions, suggest you use the search function first. Good luck!

I do believe people have used the X52 with the janzten sim. Personally I used the TBAS Pro sim and the setup for my X52 was super easy. I just got one of those routers from Amazon that you can plug all the inputs into from and have it plug straight into your computer. I used my MacBook and it ran just fine, so no need to run windows parallel. Hope this helps and goodluck!
