so just to confirm im screwed. I took the astb about a year and half ago did decent 5/6/5 47 but not selected. Then i got my grades up and retook the test but it turns out i took the same form as i did the first time. So not only does it not count it counts against me as my second try and i have to wait 91 days before i can try again. Is there anything i can do or am i SOL? my recruiter has never had to deal with this before.

Take 91 days to study really well and then ace it on your final try. That seems like all you can do about it.

Edit: You aren't screwed...yet.

Actually, if it were me, I would check whether you really have to wait 91 days again, since you accidentally took the same form you took the first time.

Contact NOMI-psychtech@med.navy.mil, tell them that you're an examinee and explain what happened, and ask whether you have to wait 91 days because of it. They will be able to give you a definitive answer.

(Note: I'm not saying your recruiter isn't correct, but if he's never had to deal with this situation before, assuming the 91 day waiting period may not be correct. I've communicated directly with NAMI via the email address above on general ASTB issues, and they will easily be able to provide you with your answer. Examinees are allowed to contact NAMI directly. If it ends up that you do have to wait the 91 days, then as others have said, study and practice what you need to, and make sure you don't get the same form again!)
