ASTB scores how long they last

I took the ASTB a year ago, mainly to see how well I would do, and I was just wondering how long those scores last. I have the results that the captain printed off and stamped true copy. Would those scores be sufficient once I plan to submit a package or would I have to re-take the ASTB? my scores were 7/8 so I was fairly pleased with the results. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

From what I understand, your scores stand for life. The only way to replace a score is to test over it with a re-take of some sort. If the scores you got the first time are good enough, you shouldn't have to worry about retaking. Ask your recruiter...he will tell you whether or not your scores look good enough and what you should do next.

But as far as the life of the scores themselves...they stand for the rest of your career.

dude u got a 7/8 why would you want to retake, you can only improve like one point.... shouldnt make that much difference in your package, ASTB is just ONE part of your overall app. a 7/8 are damn good scores. congrats
