Hey all,

I just took the ASTB this morning with my NROTC unit and I was wondering what my scores meant. I understand that they are from 1-9 and all, but I don't know how my scores compare with most people and consequently, how competitive my package will be for pilot.

AQR 7
PFAR 8
FOFAR 8
OAR 57

Also, what does the OAR mean.

Thanks

Academic Qualifications Rating (AQR)- affected by all subtests, but the strongest influence is Math

Pilot Flight Aptitude Rating (PFAR)- again affected by all, but strogest in Aviation and Spatial Apperception.

Flight Officer Flight Aptitude Rating (FOFAR) affected by all, but strongest in Math.

Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR)- Made up of fist 3 subtests: Math, Reading, Mechanical.

Your scores are very strong from what I have seen. Search "stats and scores" for some examples of other peoples scores so you can get an Idea. Good luck to you and Nice work on the test

Cheers.
