#21 What does V2 with the lil line over it represent? I see the answer is 6+V2, but I can't deduce what the V2 represents. My first intuition would have been to say that the answer is C, 8. Any help would be appreciated.

This is #21 on the math portion by the way. I would put it all in here but I can't draw the square so it won't work very well.


#41 - Stupid question about the length of a line based on the coordinates for point one being (1,2) and point 2 being (4,6). Its been ages since I have done this stuff........

That V is supposed to be a square root sign. 6+V2 is actually 6 plus the square root of 2. (And also, the question number you are referring to is #22, not #21)

Yeah, I figured that out. I tried to change my thread title but it didn't work. Also, I figured out how to solve the problem. The mechanical study guide is pretty simple, is the exam that simplified?
