Perhaps your advisor would be the person to ask these things. Not that you won't get great advice here, but your advisor knows a lot more about your particular situation's specifics. But... you'll probably take it your junior year. What to study can be found by searching for ASTB on the site. As for physicals, you'll need a commissioning physical, another physical at NAMI prior to API, admin physicals everytime you switch squadrons, short form physicals in your birth month every year, and a long form physical at 25, 30, etc.

All in all, though, I'd focus on your college grades first. The ASTB is a long way off if you're just starting college.

Meh, I've found that "cooperate to graduate" works a lot better than being stabby with your peers.

I would suggest that you don't look at the ASTB until you finish at least one calculus and one physics class. The latest you'll want to take it is during your Junior Year. I had one 4/C that smoked the test his first time up....it happens...but he was REALLY REALLY smart. If you do decide to take the test, D/L the gouge, Study and then take the test...remember that you can only take the test THREE (3) times and then you are done...make it count.
