ASTB vs. Just OAR

Alright, I'm supposed to be taking the ASTB within the next few weeks, and my recruiter hasn't really given me too many specifics about the exam. After looking through some old posts, I'm getting the feeling that not everyone has to take the full exam. If i'm only interested in SWO, INTEL and Supply, do I only take the first three sections, or do I have to complete the entire ASTB (including aviation etc.)? I've been hearing contradictory information. Which specialities require only an OAR? Thanks

ASTB--to my knowledge is only for aviation--I believe it stands for the aviation standard test battery.

I heard you have to take the whole thing for Intel as well, but I'm not sure. As for SWO and Supply - I applied SWO, IW and Supply and only took the OAR.

You are probably still going to have to complete aviation portion of the test if you are applying for intel.

Well if I was supposed to do the aviation part for intel, then my recruiter had me do the wrong thing. Maybe you should just call your recruiter and ask him. I am sure he could tell you.

I was told by my recruiter you only take the spatial and aviation section if you're applying for pilot or nfo.

I took it for intel last week, I didn't take the Pilot biographical inventory or naval flight officer biographical inventory sections but did have to do the pilot flight officer rating and naval flight officer flight aptitude rating
