Good, there is no reason to be angry. The opportunity to become a Naval Aviator is far too important to be impatient about a month's delay. Use the time you have to learn more about your goal, improve your physical condition, etc. There will be many longer and more frustrating waits ahead- that's the job. The trick is using the time to your advantage.

Good luck guys.

As of this past April, boards were scheduled to be held every other thursday and friday for nfo's and pilots respectively, whether this has held true I cannot say. I would guess that with the amount of aviators being selected lately there will probably be more frequent boards, but guesses are like a$$holes, everybody's got one.

Thanks JoshDavid, can anyone confirm the 2 times a month boards??? What about the requirement that your package needs to be in Millington 2 weeks before a board. Thought I've read previous posts where people have gotten word 2-3 days after their package was sent in. I know get used to waiting it's the NAVY!!

I filled out an application, waited, and eventually my recruiter told me I was in.

I really dont see the point in micro managing the thing. Just do all the tests and paper work and wait.

Its not gonna be a fast process.

This is true. It took me just over 1 year from the first time I walked into the NRD until my final select, and I had quite a few hiccups in the application process too. Standby to standby is the name of the game...

My hangup was that there was a discrepancy with my anthro's. Millington was saying I was no-go because of torso length but my OPO had me as within all limits according to his paperwork. Long story short, the first two times I sent in an application I wasn't even looked at because Millington said I was out of reg's. It took us about 3-4 months to figure out that is why I never got selected, I wasn't even looked at by a board! Talk about pissed off... So I missed out on BDCP because of that, but the first time my kit got looked at by a board I got picked up DEP so its all good. My only advice for the whole application evolution is have persaverance, you'll get in as long as you keep working hard.

I am 6'3", but it was my sitting height that was the cause of confusion. BLL and BKL were all good but for some reason millington thought my torso was to long.
