Aviation deployment question

I've been looking for the answer for this but couldn't find it anywhere, or maybe I didn't look hard enough. After you finish flight training, how do you determine where you're stationed? Do you have any say, or is it at any Marine base in the country? Also, how long and how often are you deployed for? Thanks.

I actually just found a good answer to my questions. After I posted it, I saw the "similar threads" box and clicked on a few. Sorry about taking up space.
