It has been a while since I've studied the basic mathematics and arithmetic that I am going to be tested on. Anyone with tips on the best way to refresh my memory, your help is greatly appreciated.

Here's what I did...studied for two weeks over the Marine study guide on this site (there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to the ASTB). I also took the practice test in the ARCO book and took lots of notes. I went through an entire legal pad of mathematical scribblings. My roommate's girlfriend is basically a genius and she helped me with the fuzzy math I hadn't done since 9th grade. It's basic stuff, but if you are a little rusty it can trip you up. My biggest piece of advice: STUDY ON THE CLOCK meaning time yourself. This test is timed and you basically have a minute per question. It varies a little, but just be able to do the math and mechanical problems as quickly as possible. I got a 6/7/6 56, which is decent. Middle of the road, but still competitive with the rest of my package. Best of luck.
