I swore in on Feb. 24th and just recieved my first payment on April 1st. There was a missing sig. on the paper work so it took a while. Anyways, how quick does the Navy get you your backpay when this happens?

Well they should have direct deposited it with your first check. They might cut you a check for the backpay like they are "doing" with me, hope thier not doing that with you though because the "check is the mail" according to them every f'n week and "you'll see something by Friday" for the last 6 weeks". I have yet to get my back pay from being married... I got married LAST OCTOBER. 6 F'n months :icon_rage :icon_rage :icon_rage . whoa... sorry didn't mean to vent I'm sure DFAS will be "right on it" in your situation. I guess to them everyday is Friday... but you should be fine just as long as you don't talk to them on Friday.

Sometimes it is hard to light a fire under the arses of those at DFAS. First of all, my recruiter gave me the number that goes to directly to the pay dept. I would advise you guys to get this number so you can deal with DFAS directly. This way you don't have to go through a recruiter that may take a couple days to make a simple phone call. I bugged DFAS every day for about 4-5 days before I finally received my first direct deposit. Remember, this is your money, and you have every right to bug them about it. The squeaky axle always gets the grease.

I asked if I could get the number and my recruiter's office said that only they could talk to them and not me.

i think you can get the number off of the mypay website. I think that is where I got it when I was having pay problems.
