Basic Seamanship Material

I am looking for information on basic seamanship. I know some of these related questions have been said to be on the test, but so far all I have is the info from this page: http://www.boat-ed.com/wa/course/p1-3_boatparts.htm

This only tells me about the basic parts of a boat, which is defintely useful. However, I'm looking for a gouge on seamanship, I know nothing about it.

What about a gouge like all the other material, things we don't have to buy necessarily. Any clue how much of this info we really need to know?

It's tough to prepare for. They ask you 30 questions about a massively broad topic.

Before I started studying for the ASTB, I knew nothing about planes or ships. I ended up getting an 8/9 for my pilot aptitude rating (larlgely affected by ship and plane knowledge). So, just because you don't know anything about the topic now, it doesn't mean you can't do well.

I studied every last shread of gouge I could find on this site. I also studied the entire FAA Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge and the Annapolis Book of Seamanship. Don't rush into the test. I studied for a few months before I ever took it. Take your time preparing.

Thanks, will do.
