BDCP Gouge request

I am submitting my application to BDCP today. I am wondering who populates the selection board. I have an age waiver request because I am old, and my GPA isn't so stellar (death in the immediate family), so I want to know what to write or do to get an interview. I feel that in that interview, I would get to present myself properly and then accept a rejection or approval based on me, rather than my application. I have letters of recomendation, 2.8 GPA, ASTB 789, OAR 61, 1200 SAT. But I am 30 w/ no prior. I want Navy bad, I would be proud to get any commision, and I know I would serve well. Any advice would be appreciated.

What communities did you apply for?

I believe that the interview process is different for the different communities. As for the CEC (my community) I was interviewed by a CEC accessions officer before submitting my package. The interviewer filled out an interview form and sent it in with my package to the review boards. Others on here have more information about thier respective communities' interview processes.

Unfortunately, you will not get an interview with any board. They meet on their own schedules and the whole idea is to give each applicant a level playing field. You have a good ASTB and if you have reasons why you got low grades it will mitigate them to some degree. Just apply and see what happens. At this time supply would be your best bet.
