BDCP Pay?

Question gentlemen:

My recruiter told me that BDCP by default (as in, to non-NUPOC) pays 1,300/mo. However, I thought BDCP paid you the same payrate as an E-3 - which is about ~1,500/mo - is there any reason for this difference?

The difference is the recruiter's bonus of course.

Seriously though, I don't know the answer. Maybe he remembers an old pay table?

Anyways, while searching for the answer I did find this link. It's a great summary of the majority of Naval Officer accession programs.

I have seen that link, and I realize it's supposed to be the same as an E-3's pay, I was just looking for a delicate way of putting it. I know it should be 1,500, I'm just curious why he kept saying 1,300 when I know it's the contrary. I'll ask him about it.

Also, how much pull does your recruiter have with the boards? That is, my recruiter made it sound like he could sweeten my package up based on his evaluation of me/his interview with me? Any truth to this?

Should be more than that. When I was in BDCP it was E-3 + BAH + BAS. I was pulling about 2500/mo from the Navy.

BDCP Is full Pay, allowances and benifits as an E-3/ YOUR RECRUITER HAS NO PULL WHATSOEVER and obviously is out of touch with the programs if he is telling you such non-sense. Another wanna be used car sales man that thinks he has to sell you on a great program!
