First off, I'm a long time reader of these forums and the info here is second to none! I think I've read just about every type of commissioning program out there... so I've finally caught on to BDCP. I've spoken with several Pilots/NFO's about it and they have pretty much confirmed that it was a terrific experience. Right now I'm a AFROTC student (non contracted) and I'm taking an interest in Navy BDCP for several reasons:
AFROTC has been a great experience for me and I've managed to get myself in good standing, but I'm taking a liking to the idea of BDCP. Would you guys advise me in making the switch? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
- Time to focus on grades... no point in chasing my personal goal of SNA or NFO if I drag my grades down.
- Money for school...
- I just seems like an easier alternative (but still competative I know) path to getting my bars, and maybe SNA if I keep putting in effort.
