I have just heard that two guys from the BDCP program have been caught having lied on their applications. Both guys have been disenrolled from OCS and now owe the Navy tens of thousands of dollars. I expect that if you are OCS only they will just boot you out for fraudulent enlistment. Prosecuting takes too much effort. But it is evident that for you BDCP guys taking a paycheck, there will be no mercy. One guys owes over $80,000 and the other around $40,000. Think you can get a loan for that as a new college grad just kicked out of the Navy? There are frequently debates on the site over just how "truthful" to be on the app. Most of you know where I come down on that debate. I am pleased most of you agree with me. For the rest of you, either rethink your position or put that Navy paycheck into a good investment. You may have to tap the principle.
