They only have to do six weeks of API. :D

If you mean accelerated, then it depends....I know some guys ins VT-28 who were, but myself in 27 did not (guys with a sigificant amount of civilian time that is). I would say it would be up to you're on-wing deciding if you were capable of doing it, and you can always request not to. Ask IP's in you're squadron when you get there....that will be the end all be all of that gouge.

I just checked into VT-28 last week and the IP who gave us our curriculum brief said they were not doing the accelerated program for guys who have licenses. One guy in my class has 1300 hrs civilian before Navy and they said he'd do the same things as us, but maybe get a few flights skipped.
