Between OCS 191 and TBS

OCS 191 graduates on the 31st of March and the next Basic School class starts on the 10th of April. What will happen during that time? Do we get leave, or do we get put to work right away? Also, do people ever have to wait a few months to get to TBS or is it pretty much guaranteed that the when the next class starts those just commissioned will be there.

Well it looks like you are OCC, correct? If so then you will be going straight to TBS with that next company. The time between you will likely get some leave and be able to take care of a few things. This is not the same for those PLC commissions...

Being OCC, you will get to pick up with the next TBS class (as mentioned above). Everyone had the option of leave, and most elected to take it. You only rate a certain number of days at that point (6?), but can borrow enough to take off the bulk of the time until you pick up with TBS. Some guys stuck around Camp Barrett and got to spend their days picking up trash, digging holes, and hanging targets for the Weps Batallion. They also got the pleasure of being the billet holders during Zero Week and the initial 3 weeks of TBS. Talk about a good time...
