Board for 190

When is it? I am scheduled to begin law school in August but wouldn't mind taking a shot at Applying for an Air Slot for 190. Would need to know when the results come out or if I could find out if I got in before August 23rd?

Talk to your OSO for exact dates but here's what I know from my OSO. I am applying for 190 as well, and if I remember correctly, package must be submitted NLT 18 July, and board meets sometime in August (don't remember the date, but I'd venture to say 2nd week).

That said, the earlier you get your package in, the better your chances I'm told. Part of this is they have pleanty of time for the security clearence / background checks before the actual board meet. Hoping my package will be completed and submitted this week. I just got my PFT score (last thing I needed) high enough last week.

Okay, I need to start running then. I can do 18 pullups and 80 situps so I will easily max those out. Time to start running. Also, anybody know the OSO for Northern Virginia? I live in Arlington.

The site doesn't say if those #'s are enlisted or Officer (I'd guess enlisted recruiting), but any one of those #'s should be able to point you in the right direction at the least.

my oso told me to submit my app asap because the board for 189 was going to preselect for 190, however when i checked in w/ him, he informed me that only 2 candidates from california were selected. Is there another board that is going to meet before this summer?

Man, you city guys have got it rough. I went through the kansas City OSO. I didn't have to worry about anything like that. Pretty much everyone that applied got selected.

According to my OSO, T-man has it right. The next OCS board will be in August for 190. California was tight this year, but 190 is looking much better, especially if you want to go air. They did pre-select, but only for a very small percentage of what they'll be taking for the October class. Good luck-
