Bombed... Should I retake?

I'm getting mixed signals from my recruiter and others. I scored 4's (with one 3 in aviation), with a OAR of 44. I've got a high GPA (3.9), an ASVAB of 93 (if that helps) and prior military service. Should I, or do I need to take the ASTB again? I haven't taken college math since 1995! Thanks for your help.

Since I'm on the subject... does anyone know if Intel is accepting waivers for red-green color blindness?

You're red-green color blind? Didn't think you could fly with that...

For an OCS applicant, the OAR score is the most important. I would suggest that you take it again. Study the Math, Mechanical and Verbal sections. Good luck!

So why take the ASTB.

More to the point, why take the second half. I thought guys that only needed OAR took the Math/Verbal/Mech only.

Are they using ASTB for all officer placement? I know nothing of the OCS process, please educate me.

OCS/BDCP applicants have to take it to get an OAR score even if they don't want to fly.

Ok thanks, didn't know that.

I know that I was told that for Intel you need at least a 45. I applied for crypto with a 48 and I made it.

So its not the most important thing for those that are enlisted...

Thanks all for the advice

Thanks all for the advice. I'll retest. As far as taking the aviation portion.... I don't know why they had me take it. I also understand that as of September all reserve officer candidates must take the ASTB. Graduated one semester too late.
