CODENAME: Outreach "Flak Jacket" - non-VA progrom
There's an outreach program going on June 16th, 2010 in the Boston area that includes a PTSD specialist in Family and violence control. Usually 2 to 3 Veteran advocates are on hand from local and state level to help with other items of concern -- benefits and suicide concerns being some.
This is a bi-weekly outreach meeting with munchies and soda / water on hand.
OPEN TO ALL VETERANS in the area Driving Directions to the meeting room.
The program is still in it's infancy but has gathered momentum because it's not hosted on a VA premises and oversight is by highly decorated USMC combat veterans on a Marine Corps inspired premises for comfort.
