Airport officials say the weather was not a factor in the crash.

Runways are closed, due to icy conditions. De-icing is currently underway.

De-icing? In Lubbock? I'm from there and if I had to guess that means someone threw alot of sand on the runway and said "F*** it...it's de-iced"
