Can I update my SF-86?

Based on what I have read, having completed the SF-86 as part of the application process is fairly recent. From what I have gathered here, if an applicant is selected, the recruiter then submits the SF-86? The reason I am asking is I think I found 2 things that could result in some hang ups when they process me (if I am pro-recd). Does anyone know if it would be possible to make some minor changes (address stuff, no DUIs I "forgot" about), just so the process goes a little smoother. Seems like there are plenty of people on here who need to be reinvestigated because they made minor errors, and that is something I'd rather not enjoy.

As a note-I tried logging into e-Qip website without any luck remembering what the hell I put for the "Golden Questions." I thought maybe I could update it myself there.

Thanks for the help.

Once it is submitted to OPM you can not edit, to my knowledge. If your recruiter still has it then you can but I know the is only a farely short window of time.

Final Select Supply Corps
Here's the thing: The investigation needs to be "opened," not "completed," for you to get a final select. If MEPS checks out and the investigation is opened, you're in the pipeline. SF86 folks work independently from the the Captain at OCS. As to mistakes and what have you, if there is an issue, they will contact you. It's not a big deal at all - MAYBE two hours.

Most likely if you investigation takes a while you will get interim clearance. Mine went quick and it still took three months for the investigation. But once Office of Personel Management opens the investigation you can no longer change your SF-86, for any issues they wil interview with you. Things like debt issues and unlisted misdemeanors are ones that I have herd of people having to explain.
