Chances?

I am currently in the process of sending in my application and I was wondering about my chances of getting into the program. My stats:

• Graduating May 07
• Degree in Computer Information Technology with concentrations in Software Developement, Network Administration, and Network Security
• Currently have a 3.0
• currently a resident advisor
• worked near full-time almost all of my college career on top of being an RA
• played rugby for the school since last fall
• currently have 4-5 very good references
• commanding officer in my NJROTC in high school (captained various teams as well as many other positions) (Leadership Academy, and other various awards and honors)
• member of fraternity since freshman semester
• over 100 volunteer hours per summer

This is most of the stuff that I have, I think there a few smaller things that I forgot to mention, but nothing huge. I have always wanted to be a Surface Warfare guy but given my experence in computers and network security, I am starting to see the appeal in Information Warfare (and actually put it as my #1 choice). So, I guess my question has to be, what do you all think my chances are?

Have you taken the ASTB yet? The stats you posted sounds like they are competitive to me, I personally would have liked to see the GPA higher, but I think that with the extracurriculars (rugby), and working... I don't see why you wouldn't have a very good package. Good luck applying,

Using a highly complex algorithm that I designed myself, I have calculated your chances of being selected as 78.243%. Several factors were used in determing your chances, such as choice of username, time of your post, location, choice of major, and GPA.

Ok, I'm joking. The fact is, nobody is going to be able to tell you what your chances are. There are far too many factors involved that affect selection rates. Some factors are dependent on your performance and potential, and others are completely independent....such as manpower requirements. The only ones with the complete picture are those sitting on the board making the selections.

I do think your choice of major and first choice of Information Warfare are a good fit. If SWO is of interest to you as well, I would put that down as number two.

I will be taking the ASTB within the next month. Also, since freshman year my GPA has gotten progressively better and I am hoping by the time I graduate I will have around a 3.2.
