Changing your package when it is up for the board?

My package is currently up for the April boards, I submitted my package after I took the ASTB at the end of February. I recently retook the ASTB at the beginning of April and improved my score by a descent amount “42 to a 46.”

My question is: Is it possible for my new score to be updated before I am seen on the April boards this month?

My recruiter is trying to find out but the guy hasn’t called him back about what can be done and what the proper policy is. I am hoping that a waiver is not required to update my score, since my package has not been seen yet, and it would definitely improve my package.

Any help would be great, thank you!

It may be too late. Packages are scanned and sent to the Program Managers by the 1st of each month. So, if you are up for the April boards (like me), your package is in PDF format right now probably being previewed for the up coming board next week.

Plus, a 4 point increase in your OAR is not that big of an increase, IMO. Had you gone from a 42 to a 62 maybe.

Just wait and see what the board says. If you are denied, then at least you know you can resubmit for the following month. A change in your OAR constitutes a significant change, so you don’t have to wait 6 months.

I have a 42 and I’m going to run with it. Remember, they look at the “whole person”, not just your OAR!

Thank you for the input Renegade. I am assuming it is too late for sure now because my recruiter never let me know that it went thru. Oh well, all I can do is wish for the best and pray!
