Commissioning stationery and thank you cards

Lovin' life....
Hey guys,

I wanted to share this with everyone. I found this awesome website that sells Navy officer stationery and other sorts of cards perfect for newly commissioned officers. They have Navy officer crest stationery, Naval Aviator items, thank you cards and all sorts of items at REALLY good prices. When I graduated from OCS, I bought the Navy officer crest stationery and used it to thank all my previous supervisors for their help to get me to OCS. Here is the link:

OK, I honestly can't tell if this is tongue-in-cheek. I thought all this stuff- stationary, calling cards, etc- was viewed as antiquated now...?

Skipper's and other such Officer's in the Navy really like receiving thank you letters. Every one of my CO's have always displayed their letters of thanks from various individuals.

I wasn't saying good manners (i.e. thank you notes) are antiquated...just these types of products.

Now that I've thought about it for a minute, it's probably a moot point...some people are going to say they're a 'must have' and others will say they're a scam.

A really good one could result in its being read at the Hail/Farewell to the envy of the JOPA. A letter to the CO's significant other is also a nice touch (for his/her scrapbook).

@midn09 - You did follow the link?

When I was commissioned, I just used the MS Word .doc template and took it to the print shop to make cards. I might just still have the word doc somewhere...
