I currently wear eyeglasses and am wondering if I should buy contacts again for OCS. Do you think going through OCS with contacts is easier than having eyeglasses?

I don't even think contact are allowed at OCS during training. But I've heard you can keep them in your car and wear them towards the very end of OCS.

wedding bands are okay, contacts are not. i'm thinking no on the class rings. i think you are allowed one religious necklace under your uniform.

LOL, that's funny that you think you can wear contacts at OCS. No way. Depending on how bad your vision is will depend on whether or not you decide to wear the glasses they "give" you.;)

Keep the contacts in your car for liberty and Candio phase.

Are BCGs mandatory all the time? Or can you choose to not wear them during non pt/training, liberty and so forth?

I wore contacts for the first four weeks of AOCS (dating myself) because I did not have a set of glasses so it was a wait for a pair of wire rimmed aviators that I was issued. No big deal to the drill instructors but at the time we did all the physio during AOCS so I was always having to take my contacts in and out for swim and it was a pain. Going down with glasses that fit you is a far better way to go.
