Any good gouge on signing the contract with your recruiter and processor? Anything to look for that sometimes people get rifted on? I only say this because I am prior enlisted and have heard many stories about the enlisted side but not on the O side.

I have yet to hear anyone get rifted who didn't do it to themselves. Officer recruiters are rarely if never at a shortage of applicants to pull any sort of stunts. The officer side of things is more about you selling yourself to the Navy, not the other way around. You spend the first few months with your recruiter proving you are worth his/her time as they have perhaps 30 other guys courting their attention too.

I'm just want to make sure that my recruiter is doing all that can be done for me. One thing that I have learned during my 5 years active was to ask if you want something, because no one will carry your career on there back. I sign this Monday. Thanks.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The O-side of the recruiting house does not play the same stupid games as the E-side. They don't need to.

Oh thats true. My recruiters have allowed me to walk head first into brick walls just to watch and see if I try to climb them myself. They are just testing me to see if I have initiative. But no officer recruiter I've seen are in the business of telling half truths. The nature of applying for commission just doesn't have need for that as it is you who needs to jump the hoops (Good GPA, PFT capable, good ASTB score, interviews, LORs, etc), not them. Officer Recruiters won't take you seriously otherwise.

Oh you sign in black ink...I was thinking blood was the preferred method. Does anyone know about getting O1E pay locked on? I have over 4 years active, so I know that I rate it.
